Terms of Service

1. Who we are

ProProspect ("we", "us") operates the platform available at proprospectapp.com, connecting athletes, families, International Programs (P.I.), college coaches, agencies and clubs. The service is provided by ProProspect, headquartered in Portugal.

2. Accounts & eligibility

You must be at least 14 years old to create an athlete account. Users under 16 require verified parental consent under GDPR Art. 8 — see our Privacy Policy. College coaches must verify with an institutional (.edu / .edu.<cc> / .ac.<cc>) email. International Programs and agencies undergo a verification review before contact features are unlocked. You are responsible for keeping credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

3. Subscriptions & payments

Free accounts are available. Paid plans (Athlete Pro / Elite, International Program Starter / Pro / Elite) are billed monthly via Stripe. Prices are shown in EUR and include applicable taxes where required. You may cancel at any time — access remains until the end of the current billing period. Non-EU customers may see conversion by their bank.

4. Refunds

• Free trial: cancel any time during the trial and you will not be charged.
• Micro-charge €0.50 for parental verification is refunded automatically within minutes.
• Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable once the billing period starts, except where required by consumer law (EU 14-day right of withdrawal, unless service has been fully performed with your prior consent).
• Duplicate charges or clear billing errors are refunded on request.

5. Acceptable use

• No harassment, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, or unlawful behaviour.
• No scraping, reverse-engineering or bulk export of profiles.
• No impersonation of athletes, coaches, agents or programs.
• Contact quotas and NCAA dead-period rules are enforced; circumventing them is a breach.
• FIFA RSTP Art. 19 (international transfers of minors) is enforced on messaging — attempts to bypass may lead to permanent ban.

6. Content & IP

You retain ownership of the highlights, photos, stats and content you upload. You grant ProProspect a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, resize, transcode and display your content strictly to operate the service and (only with your explicit opt-in per weekly winner) to feature it on ProProspect social media. That opt-in can be withdrawn at any time by request to legal@proprospectapp.com.

7. Verification & badges

Coach verification via .edu OTP and FIFA licence verification for agencies are best-effort. Badges reflect information available at the time of check and can be revoked. ProProspect is not a party to any contract between athletes, families, agents, programs or clubs.

8. Third parties

We use Stripe for payments, Supabase (Lovable Cloud) for hosting and database, Mailgun for email delivery, and standard analytics. See the Privacy Policy for details.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Account → Privacy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, endanger minors, or create legal risk. Data retention follows the Privacy Policy.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProProspect is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for outcomes of recruitment processes. Nothing limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or statutory consumer rights.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Consumer disputes may also be brought before the consumer's country of residence courts or the EU ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
